  • Hublot - Global launch of Classic Fusion timepieces

    At the end of november, Luxury Swiss watch brand Hublot celebrated famed artist Carlos Cruz-Diez to kick off Miami's highly anticipated Art Basel 2015. Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe welcomed watch and art aficionados alike for the opening reception for in Miami's Design District. To honor this partnership, Hublot unveiled three limited edition Classic Fusion Cruz-Diez timepieces. 

    It is through this partnership that Hublot continues to fuse the worlds of watchmaking, art, color and movement. The Franco-Venezuelan artist Carlos Cruz-Diez is one of the leading figures and key representatives of kinetic-optic art, the artistic movement which calls for "an awareness of the instability of reality" by placing movement and space at the heart of its works. His artistic approach has led to him being regarded as one of the great color theorists of the 20th century. His research has helped create a new way of understanding the phenomenon of color, expanding its perceptual universe. 

    In his works, colors are perpetually being formed and broken down before our eyes, suggesting that color is not an established truth, but rather an unstable reality which is continually changing in time and space. Hublot invited Carlos Cruz-Diez to adapt one of his works, (1964), to three of its timepieces. Juxtaposed colored lines have been printed on the dials. Superimposed over these fixed designs is a mobile black frame which moves every minute, generating new ranges of colors which do not exist on the support, and changing the perception of the previous ranges. This allows the dials to offer a harmonious show of different colors over a 12-hour period. The cycle then begins again.

  • Hublot - Countdown clock unveiled

    On 18th September 2015, in Moscow, Hublot unveiled the official countdown clock for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ (which will begin on 14th June 2018).

    The clock that has been installed on Manezhnaya Square, at only a stone's throw away from Moscow's famous Red Square. It is over 4 metres high and nearly 5 metres wide and features a giant Hublot clock as part of the overall structure. It has been designed in keeping with the Official Look of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™, using red as the dominant colour to reflect the architectural features of the Kremlin.

    Hublot is the Official Timekeeper and the Official Watch of the FIFA World Cup TM and, as for the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, will also be visible on the referee boards during all the competition's matches.

  • Hublot - Justin Rose, new brand ambassador

    Hublot appointed golfeur pro Justin Rose as its newest brand ambassador. Rose, who currently holds seventeen titles worldwide, including the 2013 U.S. Open, joins the ranks of internationally renowned brand ambassadors. He is the first professional golfer to partner with the brand.

    To commemorate the brand's newest ambassador, Hublot of America, Managing Director Jean- Francois Sberro hosted a charity event at the Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, CA, host course for the PGA Tour's Farmers Insurance Open that will take place February 5-8.

  • Hublot - King Power Juventus de Turin


    Last August, Juventus Turin announced their choice of Hublot as Official Timekeeper and Official Watch, to support them from the start of the following season. The team has now chosen its watch: the piece is a King Power model made from carbon fibre
    A limited edition of 200 numbered watches, these boast a case 48 mm in diameter, and are powerful but ultra-light and extremely impact-resistant thanks to the carbon fibre components, manufactured entirely in-house by Hublot. The watch is equipped with the HUB4245 chronograph movement, which has the particular feature of two central chrono hands. This makes for better readability - quicker and more efficient. The wearer can keep track of both hands at a glance; the first indicates the seconds, and the other hand, specially developed for football, indicates the time elapsed out of the 45 minutes in each half.
     

    With black and white of course predominating, the sapphire dial showcases the movement, here in an Aero Bang version, which has also undergone further skeleton working, opening up the piece to reveal even more of the working parts of the watch and its fine mechanics. The topside retains only the material necessary for it to function. This is coated with black ruthenium for a beautiful overall effect of homogeneity, and clearer reading. The minute track, a time counter at 9 o'clock, a date window at 4 o'clock and the exclusive Juventus emblem at 3 o'clock complete the dial, all playing with the iconic black and white combination. In a final reference to the legendary club, the white leather strap stitched onto black rubber, with a black leather strip in the centre, is also directly inspired by the team's graphic codes.

In addition to having the most supporters, Juve has historically won the most national titles, and is one of the most successful and recognised teams worldwide. According to the International Federation of Football History & Statistics, a body recognised by FIFA, Juventus was the best Italian club and second best European club in the 20th Century.
