The watch is awesome and works really well to track your heart rate, however there are so many options that it gets very complicated. I am still working on figuring out all of the options for keeping track of workouts. Once I am able to memorize all of the programs and buttons I will be very happy.

The 44 mm circular steel case of the Longines Avigation - a contraction of "aviation" and "navigation" - referring to a navigation system invented during the 1920s - has the same diameter as the original one. It houses an L704 self-winding, mechanical calibre which shows the hours, minutes, seconds and date, and has a second time-scale. As in the 1949 model, the movement is encased in a soft iron plate and dome which protect it from the effects of magnetic fields.

The black dial features large white numerals as well as a 24-hour scale in red. The stick hands on the main dial are rhodium-plated and the lozenge-shaped hand on the second time-scale is red. All the hands are coated with Super-LumiNova®. The upper segment of the dial bears a distinctive sign, namely a broad arrow, used in the United Kingdom to denote government property, including military equipment and therefore the watches used by the British army.

The Longines Avigation is fitted on a black alligator strap with a buckle.

Roger Yves Bost with horse Castle Forbes Cosma have won the Longines Speed Challenge yesterday night at the Parc des Expositions, Paris Nord Villepinte. Gregory Wathelet (BEL) arrived second and Reed Kessler (USA) third. Created in 2010 by EEM World, the challenge facing competitors is to achieve the best time, with every bar knocked down adding a 2 second penalty. The winner is, therefore, the pairing that is both the quickest and the most precise. The format of the event ensures complete suspense, with the Longines Speed Challenge also being very attractive to the public, who can follow the time achieved by the competitors, in real time. Since they know the best time as the competitors leave the arena, each spectator can cheer on their favourite up to the end of the round.
