Thanks for creating such a cute Longines Conquest watch. I have it in brown and like it. But later I was thinking I want gray and white. Maybe it would even look good in light blue. Anyway I am happy with brown.

The new season of the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Western European League began in Oslo this weekend. Longines, Title Partner, Official Timekeeper and Watch of the series, timed the victory of Penelope Leprevost on Flora de Mariposa. The Official Watch of the competition belongs to the new Longines DolceVita collection, which represents the contemporary elegance of the Longines watchmaking brand worldwide. This lady model is cased in steel, decorated with diamonds and features a silver-coloured "flinque" dial adorned with painted Roman numerals.

The Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping series gathers each year the world's best riders who compete for the most coveted Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Final trophy. The Final will be held next year in Göteborg from March 23-28, 2016, where the very first finale took place 37 years ago. The Western European League presents 11 qualifying rounds at the most popular venues on the international circuit. After the first round in Norway, the series will move to Helsinki (FIN), Lyon (FRA), Verona (ITA), Stuttgart (GER), Madrid (ESP), London (UK), Mechelen (BEL), Leipzig (GER), Zurich (CH) and Bordeaux (FRA).

On Wednesday 23 July 2014, Longines Ambassador of Elegance Aishwarya Rai attended, together with Mr. Walter von Känel, President of Longines, the opening ceremony of Glasgow 2014, the XXe Commonwealth Games.

Longines is the Official Timekeeper and Watch of the Games, that are held in Glasgow from 23 July to 3 August 2014. In addition, the Swiss watch brand is the Presenting Partner of the Gymnastics competitions.

The Official Watch of Glasgow 2014 is a chronograph in steel from the Conquest Classic collection, housing an exclusive mechanical column-wheel calibre. With a diameter of 41 mm, its black dial is set with one arabic numeral and 11 applied indices with Super-LumiNova®. It displays the hours and the minutes, a small second at 9, a 30-minute counter at 3, a 12-hour counter at 6 as well as the date at 4:30. Just as the entire Conquest Classic collection, this timepiece is water-resistant to 5 bar and its screw-down case back is fitted with a sapphire glass.

Commonwealth Day was celebrated in style Monday 10 March. Commonwealth and Olympic swimming star, and Glasgow 2014 ambassador, Michael Jamieson, and Clyde, the Official 2014 Mascot kicked off the Commonwealth Day celebrations by sporting their trainers at Hillhead Primary School and encouraging the youngsters to show their support for the Games by also wearing their trainers.

Michael then joined Glasgow 2014 Chairman Lord Smith of Kelvin, Charles Villoz, Vice President of Longines, Glasgow 2014's Official Timekeeper and Watch and Games Partners to formally switch on the Longines Glasgow 2014 Clock at the city's Central Train Station and officially mark the countdown to the Opening Ceremony.

Situated above the destination board at the station, the prestigious new Longines clock will be seen by hundreds and thousands of commuters and visitors in the lead-up to the Games in July.

Glasgow 2014 Chairman, Lord Smith of Kelvin, KT, said: "The switching on of the Countdown Clock is a fitting marker of this important milestone for Glasgow 2014 and we are delighted to be sharing it with such an excellent global brand as Longines, which underlines perfectly the world-class appeal of the Games.
"This is our year and our chance for Glasgow and Scotland to shine on the global stage. The clock is now officially ticking down to the moment we have all been working towards since the bid was accepted in 2007".

Longines awarded its Prize for Elegance to the American gymnast Kyla Ross and to the world champion, Japanese gymnast Kohei Uchimura at the end of the second all-around final on October 4.
World champion for the fourth consecutive time - a record - the Japanese athlete received this prize for the second time. Both gymnasts have been presented with a trophy, a Longines watch and a cheque for 5'000$.
