Tag Heuer Aquaracer Calibre 5 Automatic Men's Watch WAN2111.BA0822

This Tag Heuer Aquaracer Calibre 5 Automatic Men's WAN2111.BA0822 watch is cool. It looks good and has the functions that matter. Like all other altimeter/ barameters it does require periodic calibration. I find its best uses are time, sunrise/ sunset, altimeter, timer, dual time, and compass. Get you one.

Last August, Jean-Claude Biver, President of the watch division of the LVMH Group and CEO of TAG Heuer announced the addition of a new member to the brand's ambassador family: Martin Garrix, a phenomenon from the world of Electronic Dance Music. Passing through Switzerland on the occasion of the Montreux Sundance, the young prodigy stopped at La Chaux-de-Fonds to visit the Manufacture's workshops.

In 2013, Martin Garrix became known the world over with his famous Animals hit (viewed more than 645 million times on Youtube!) when he was just 17 years old. Two years later, he earned 4^th place in the Top 100 of DJ Mag which lists the greatest DJs in the world. Jean-Claude Biver therefore struck the right note in choosing this new ambassador who joins a list of the most prestigious names. This decision boldly highlights the watchmaking Maison's disruptive strategy, which aims at expanding its audience, notably by targeting a youthful public. Through this partnership, TAG Heuer is connecting with the future and aiming to anchor its image within the Millennial Generation.

When confronted with the media, Martin Garrix exudes infectious energy and answers journalists' questions in a relaxed manner. At just 19 years old, he is the perfect embodiment of TAG Heuer's #DontCrackUnderPressure philosophy. How exactly does he manage to withstand this pressure? During his appearances at the most important European electro clubs and festivals, the young DJ confesses to enjoy being surrounded by his friends and family. He also adds that to him, stress is an adrenalin driver, forcing him to constantly surpass himself. The day after his visit to La Chaux-de-Fonds, Martin Garrix ignited the crowds at the Montreux Sundance with… a TAG Heuer Aquaracer on his wrist.

The man responsible for bringing the worlds of watches and football together has done it again. After bagging the prestigious partnership with FIFA for Hublot as the Official Timekeeper of the World Cup, Jean-Claude Biver is now taking the brand down the same route with TAG Heuer.

Less than two weeks after announcing a brand-new advertising campaign with its star ambassador Cristiano Ronaldo, TAG Heuer chose today's SuperCup 2015 match between VfL Wolfsburg (the Cup winners) and Bayern Munich (the Championship winners and a partner of TAG Heuer's sister brand, Hublot) to announce a major new deal with the German Bundesliga.

"The Bundesliga is one of the most powerful and comprehensive platforms imaginable," says Jean-Claude Biver. "It will allow us to pursue a different perspective in terms of our sponsorship, with huge new possibilities, particularly in the digital arena. We are preparing for the future."

In practice, this means that the new partnership, which sees TAG Heuer become the official timekeeper and official watch of the Bundesliga, will go far beyond the scope of anything seen so far in sports sponsorship, breaking the mould and using brand-new digital media - all under the brand's slogan #DontCrackUnderPressure.

From a business point of view, the new partnership will also mean that the 36 teams of the L1 and L2 will now be playing on TAG Heuer time, giving the brand exposure to an audience in the hundreds of millions with TV coverage in 208 countries.

A breakthrough Swiss Communication Instrument inspired by GT sport cars and luxury jets TAG Heuer Racerwas presented to the public at the Grand Opening of the first race track in Russia Moscow Raceway.

That was a long awaited opening, but no one expected such a great success! More than 85 000 sports fans visited the Grand Opening of the Moscow Raceway- the 1st track in Russia suitable for professional motor racing championships and built by Hermann Tilke . Legendary 4 times World F1 Champion Alain Prost, the first Russian Formula 1 pilot Vitaly Petrov, Scuderia Toro Rosso pilot Daniel Ricciardo and other sportsmen visited the Moscow Raceway Grand Opening to confirm the highest quality of the track. For the first time in Russia, medias and celebrities have experienced the atmosphere of a real race together with the VIP service in the paddock club and pit lane visits. Among the guests of TAG Heuer paddock there were: Vika Gazinskaya (designer), Konstantin Gayday (designer), Lyanka Gryu (actress), Renata Piotrovsky (actress), many politicians and business people.

Swiss watchmaking legend TAG Heuer, the Official Partner of ORACLE TEAM USA, the 34th America's Cup defender at this year's 34th America's Cup, will join the young Swiss sailors of TEAM TILT in their bid to win the newest addition to the world's most prestigious sailing season: the Red Bull Youth America's Cup.

The Red Bull Youth America's Cup is scheduled for August/September 2013, in San Francisco, during the peak moment of the America's Cup racing season. The final will be held a week before the Cup itself. Ten national teams of six sailors, aged 19 to 24, will participate in the race, on the same platform of wing-sailed AC45 catamarans used throughout 2011 and 2012 in the America's Cup World Series events.

Led by project leader Alex Schneiter and skipper Lucien Cujean, TEAM TILT is already actively training onboard Decision 35 monotype catamarans on Lake Geneva. They will be competing on the lake, starting in May 2013.
"This is a huge boost," said Schneiter. "TAG Heuer has been intensely involved in America's Cup since the 1960s, and they've been creating sailing and yachting timepieces since the 1930s. Having them onboard is an honor, and it's going to seriously improve Switzerland's chances of bringing home the Cup."

At first, one would think that a SIHH visitor had a tennis lesson scheduled after a business day at the Palexpo. Then, after a few more racquets seen in the corridors, one would start to wonder if there is a tennis club in the area -- after all, Roger Federer's influence must have turned tennis into a more popular sport in Swtzerland than soccer or ski! But the growing number of racquet users at the SIHH provided a clue: the racquet brand seen around is Babolat, Rafael Nadal's choice... not Federer's faithful Wilson.
Yes, Nadal's racquet turned out to be one of the most sought-after presents at the SIHH: Richard Mille (who flew in from Melbourne, after a press conference with Rafa prior to the Australian Open) is giving it away, capitalizing on his highly successful partnership with the spanish star. For the record: former world number one Boris Becker (an IWC ambassador) and former US Open and Wimbledon runner-up Cedric Pioline (a guest at the TAG Heuer theme park in the Halle de Secheron) did not have their racquets with them...
