  • Longines - Symphonette

The unique oval shape of the cases, the sophisticated mesh of the bracelets and the refined dials of the different variations are like notes that come together in an impeccably arrangement. Resolutely contemporary, these designs will delight lovers of chic and trendy aesthetics while remaining true to the timeless elegance that characterises the winged hourglass brand.

The eminently feminine case sports an ellipse and sets the tone: this new range will thrill lovers of modern, bold watches. The brilliance of steel, gold and diamonds enhances the refinement of the dials, while the finely crafted bracelets add the finishing touch to the whole piece.

Available in four sizes - XS, S, M and L - the oval steel and diamond-set steel cases of the Longines Symphonette house a quartz movement. The mother-of-pearl hour circle comes with either diamond indexes or with inlaid Arabic numerals. The polished lacquered black dial is adorned with diamond indexes, while the silver-coloured flinque dial features Roman numerals. Mounted on a black alligator strap or sophisticated steel mesh bracelet, these watches are water resistant to 30 meters.

An exclusive rose gold version, available with or without a row of diamonds, sports a mother-of-pearl dial with diamond indexes or inlaid Roman numerals whose pink hands harmoniously match the case.

  • Longines - Longines Masters

Mr Juan-Carlos Capelli, Vice President of Longines and Head of International Marketing, and Mr Christophe Ameeuw, Founder and CEO of EEM, announced a new partnership during a press conference held on Tuesday 23 June 2015 in Ecaussinnes.

This important agreement sees the Swiss watch brand becoming the Title Partner, as well as the Official Timekeeper and Watch of the Longines Masters. From now on, the three show jumping events set up by the Belgian organizer and held in Los Angeles, Paris and Hong Kong bear the name of Longines and become the Longines Masters of Los Angeles, the Longines Masters of Paris and the Longines Masters of Hong Kong. The Swiss watch brand already was the Official Timekeeper and Watch of all the events organized by EEM, as well as the Title Partner of the competitions held in Los Angeles and Hong Kong.

In addition, Longines gives its name to two highlights of each one of these events: the exciting Longines Speed Challenge and the renowned Longines Grand Prix. In the Longines Speed Challenge, the competitors' aim is to achieve the fastest time, knowing that 2 penalty seconds are added for each pole that is knocked down, while the Longines Grand Prix celebrates the highest level of show jumping.

The Longines Masters combine the very best sports level and the most elegant lifestyle with a unique staging. They are prestigious 5* indoor show jumping events where the best riders in the world are competing. Indeed, Longines and EEM share common values such as elegance, tradition and performance.

  • Longines - Longines Future Ski Champions 2014

The Longines Future Ski Champions, set up with the collaboration of the FIS, allowed promising ski stars selected by their respective national skiing federation to compete against the best skiers in the world in their age category under racing conditions similar to those of the official World Cup races.

The first edition in 2013 gave the chance to fourteen young male skiers to take part to the competition. This year it was the turn of thirteen girls under the age of 16, from thirteen different countries, who had the opportunity to try the giant slalom piste. The competition was held alongside the women's race in the FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup at Val d'Isere.

Carlotta Saracco (Italy) was crowned the Longines Future Ski Champion 2014, with a time of 55:93 seconds. Second was Nella Korpio from Finland, followed by Ida Dannewitz from Sweden. All three received a medal during a prize-giving ceremony that took place in the center of Val d'Isere, with the presence of Charles Villoz, Vice President of Longines, Marcel Looze, FIS Marketing Manager and Jean-Claude Fritsch, former director of Val d'Isere Sports Club. The winning champion Carlotta Saracco received as well a Longines watch. Meanwhile, her national Federation, the Federazione Italiana Sport Invernali received a cheque for $20,000 to be used for promoting Alpine skiing among young people in that country.

This event was also an opportunity for Longines to present the Official Watch of the 2014/2015 skiing season, the Conquest 1/100th Alpine Skiing, a 100th of a second chronograph. This new model, fitted with a cutting-edge, exclusive movement, is a tribute by the brand to its long tradition of timing Alpine skiing competitions and enables its user to measure and display several intermediate times to one-hundredth of a second.
