More than 96 riders and 165 horses headed to Spain from 11 to 13 December 2015 for the 31st running of the CSI A Coruña winter edition. Top Riders from both the national and international scene vied for first place at the 6 competitions among the 5* category, of which four of them count towards rider's points on the Longines FEI rankings.
Longines was the Main Partner, the Official Timekeeper and the Official Watch of the International Show Jumping of La Coruña held at Casas Novas' prestigious winter competition. As such, the Swiss watchmaker presented the highlight of the weekend: the Longines Grand Prix, which was won by Netherlands' Lisa Nooren on Vdl Groep Centora De Wallyro.
The winner received an elegant Longines watch from the hands of Juan-Carlos Capelli, Vice President of Longines and Head of International Marketing.

As the Official Watch of the CSI A Coruña, Longines presented a lady model of the new Longines DolceVita, which represents the contemporary elegance of the Longines watchmaking brand worldwide. The watch is cased in steel, decorated with diamonds and featuring a silver-coloured "flinque" dial adorned with painted Roman numerals.

Former Olympic showjumper, two-term President of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), FEI Honorary President and Classic-winning racehorse owner, HRH Princess Haya received the honour in recognition of "Her outstanding elegance as a competitor, a leader and a woman working tirelessly for the good of equestrian sports" said Mr. Juan-Carlos Capelli, Vice President & Head of International Marketing of Longines.

HRH Princess Haya received the 2015 Longines Ladies Award consisting of a Longines pocket watch: The Longines Equestrian Pocket Watch Horses Trio 1911. The model that served as an inspiration for this 18-carat rose gold very limited edition is a Longines pocket timepiece dating from 1911 with a cleverly crafted background depicting a trio of horses. The heads of these three proud animals stand out against a background of delicately worked foliage. This model features the L878.4 calibre with manual winding, a Longines Manufacture movement.

The Longines Ladies Awards recognise the success and achievements of elegant women at the very highest level of the global equine sports industry. The jury featured three leaders in world equestrianism: Mr. Ingmar de Vos, President of the FEI (Federation Equestre Internationale); Mr. Louis Romanet, Chairman of the IFHA (International Federation of Horseracing Authorities); and Mrs. Nathalie Belinguier, President of the FEGENTRI (International Federation of Gentleman and Lady Riders).

The Prix de Diane Longines, the world's top race for fillies, offered last week-end a spectacular sporting rendezvous at the Chantilly racecourse. Lanfranco Dettori on Star of Seville won the coveted title of this top-level flat race day in front of more than 45'000 spectators.

The Longines Future Tennis Aces tournament, organized by the Swiss watch brand for the 6th consecutive year, was rounded off last weekend with the victory of Xiaofei Wang (China) against Jack Pinnington-Jones (United-Kingdom). Both players took then part to an exhibition match with Arnaud Clement, patron of this year's tournament and Michael Llodra. Finally, on Friday 12, Longines and the Fondation de Chantilly will inaugurate the temporary exhibition of artistic and historical photography called "Turf", which relates to the world of horse racing.

On Sunday 14 December 2014, in Baku, Juan-Carlos Capelli, Vice-President and Head of International Marketing of Longines, presented for the second consecutive year the Longines Rising Star Award together with an elegant Longines watch to a young rising star in the equestrian sports. This year, the winner is the Mauritian vaulter Lambert Leclezio who demonstrated his remarkable performance and elegance on horseback. He also received an elegant Longines watch of the Conquest Classic collection. This stainless steel and pink gold watch features an exclusive Longines self-winding mechanical column wheel chronograph movement, a traditional and authentic technical device.

Lambert Leclezio is the first ever vaulter to win a FEI Award. At just 17 years old, he becomes the first athlete to represent his country at Championship level. Thanks to his admirable courage and determination, he grabs sixth place in the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.

The FEI Awards were set up in 2009 and are presented each year to individuals and organizations notably contributing to progress and excellence in equestrian sports - both indoor and outdoor. The Longines Rising Star Award is more specifically intended for riders between the ages of 14 and 21 who have shown exceptional talent in their field as well as commitment. More generally, Longines attaches great importance to supporting young sportsmen and women.

A successful end to Dubai's racing season was marked with the exciting and exhilarating Dubai World Cup.
