This Longines watch is small, delicate, and classy. It gives a respectful glimmer. I adore and recommend it for people who are looking for something extra special to wear for an evening out, but don't want to embarress themselves with too much glitter.

The Swiss watchmaking company Longines boasts a long-lasting tradition of supporting charitable causes. The core values of the brand have always led Longines to serve philanthropic purposes and social responsibility remains today one of its priorities. 

It is thus natural for Longines to bring its support to the Golden Hat Foundation. This charity, founded by Longines Ambassador of Elegance Kate Winslet, is dedicated to changing the way people on the autism spectrum are perceived, by shining a light on their abilities and emphasizing their great potential. With proper education and career training, these individuals can truly realize their dreams.

FEI's Top Partner Longines timed the victory of the German riders at the Longines FEI European Eventing Championship 2015 in Blair Castle, in the presence of Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II, who presented them the medals. The winners received team gold by more than 50 penalties and the matchless Michael Jung captured the fifth individual title of his career.

This equestrian event took place in the Scottish Highlands from 10 to 13 September 2015 and the Swiss watchmaker was associated to it as the Title Partner, Official Timekeeper and Watch. In addition, Longines is also involved as Official Partner, Timekeeper and Watch in both eventing competitions CCI4* Luhlmuhlen and CIC3* Luhlmuhlen in Germany.

The Official Watch in Blair Castle was a stainless steel Longines Conquest Classic Moonphase watch. This model houses a self-winding mechanical chronograph movement, a true symbol of precision and technique. Its refined silvered dial displays the moon phases, echoing the excellence and elegance of the equestrian sport stars.

On the occasion of the 2015, Longines also set a new clock at the start of the cross country round. This clock displays the countdown until the start of each run, which is determined at a fixed time. The new device also beeps the last five seconds prompting the rider to start the run, which should not occur before the last beep.

The Longines Future Ski Champions, set up with the collaboration of the FIS, allowed promising ski stars selected by their respective national skiing federation to compete against the best skiers in the world in their age category under racing conditions similar to those of the official World Cup races.

The first edition in 2013 gave the chance to fourteen young male skiers to take part to the competition. This year it was the turn of thirteen girls under the age of 16, from thirteen different countries, who had the opportunity to try the giant slalom piste. The competition was held alongside the women's race in the FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup at Val d'Isere.

Carlotta Saracco (Italy) was crowned the Longines Future Ski Champion 2014, with a time of 55:93 seconds. Second was Nella Korpio from Finland, followed by Ida Dannewitz from Sweden. All three received a medal during a prize-giving ceremony that took place in the center of Val d'Isere, with the presence of Charles Villoz, Vice President of Longines, Marcel Looze, FIS Marketing Manager and Jean-Claude Fritsch, former director of Val d'Isere Sports Club. The winning champion Carlotta Saracco received as well a Longines watch. Meanwhile, her national Federation, the Federazione Italiana Sport Invernali received a cheque for $20,000 to be used for promoting Alpine skiing among young people in that country.

This event was also an opportunity for Longines to present the Official Watch of the 2014/2015 skiing season, the Conquest 1/100th Alpine Skiing, a 100th of a second chronograph. This new model, fitted with a cutting-edge, exclusive movement, is a tribute by the brand to its long tradition of timing Alpine skiing competitions and enables its user to measure and display several intermediate times to one-hundredth of a second.

As a partner of Casas Novas, Longines announced that it will be the Main Partner and Official Timekeeper of the 2014 winter edition of the CSI A Coruña as well as the Title Partner of its Longines Grand Prix.

The Casas Novas Equestrian Centre was established in August 2000. Since its beginnings, Casas Novas has run a riding school which aims to promote and offer sport to children. CSI A Coruña was founded in 2000 as a result of the creation of the Casas Novas Equestrian Centre. Due to the rapid international recognition, it has been holding two annual editions: an indoor one in December, and an outdoor one in July.

The Official Watch of the winter edition of the CSI A Coruña will be a timepiece from the Conquest Classic line, a collection dedicated to Longines' passion for equestrian sports.

the minutes and the seconds as well as the date. The movement of the watch can be admired through its sapphire glass case back.
 

The name Longines has long been associated with breathtaking feats achieved by pioneers who have always dared to go beyond their limits, notably in underwater exploration. In the 1950s the brand supplied measuring instruments for the bathyscaphe Trieste, which set a diving record in 1953. In addition to technical equipment, Longines also produced robust and reliable watches intended for use by keen amateur divers. Dating from the 1970s, two such models have been taken as inspiration for the new The Longines Heritage Diver watch.

Available in two versions, one with three hands and the other a chronograph, these new models boast a black, satin-finish dial that elegantly combines red highlights with details coated with Super-LumiNova®. Moreover, both versions feature a bidirectional rotating inner flange. Like the original creations, the two new models have a diameter of 43 mm. The case back, crown and bezel are screwed in, thus ensuring water-resistance to 30 bar (300 metres). The cushion-shaped steel case has a brushed sunburst decoration on the upper surface and is polished around the sides. The case back is engraved with the figure of a diver, recalling the first diving watches produced by Longines.

The model with 3 hands differs from the other with its daring mix of colours set off by the black dial, namely one red hand and red minute zones, touches of Super-LumiNova® coating and grey rhodium plating. The graduated scale from 0 up to 60 enables the diver to calculate how long he or she has been underwater by synchronising the 12 o'clock hour symbol with the minute hand. The inner flange is activated using the crown at 2 o'clock. The chronograph version boasts the same colour scheme, but in contrast the graduated scale on the flange goes from 60 down to 0. This enables the diver to calculate the remaining time, for example to allow for decompression when returning to the surface, by synchronising a given point with the minute hand. The new The Longines Heritage Diver watches are fitted on a black synthetic or rubber strap.

The Longines Heritage 1973 displays a vintage look that is true to the original model. The latter, a chronograph produced in 1973 by the brand, was fitted with a Longines mechanical chronograph movement, the 30CH. The Longines Heritage 1973 houses the L688 calibre, a column-wheel chronograph movement developed and produced by ETA exclusively for Longines.

The silvered dial of the Longines Heritage 1973 boasts a fascinating play of contrasts. At 3 and 9 o'clock, two black counters were included. The applied hour symbols are decorated with a fine black line and a dot of Super-LumiNova®. These are interposed and balanced out by a minute-circle, also of fine black lines. A blue tachometric scale surrounds the dial, adding a subtle touch of colour to the whole.

With a diameter of 40 mm, the cushion-shaped steel dial of the Longines Heritage 1973 has retained the lines and mood of the original model. The back is fitted with a transparent sapphire glass cover through which the wearer can admire the movement of the calibre as well as the blue column-wheel. This model is completed by the rounded push-pieces. The whole is mounted on a black alligator strap.

Located in Saint-Imier since 1832, Longines has established close links with the village that has seen the foundation and development of the firm. The Longines Saint-Imier Collection has been inspired by the foundations of the watchmaking tradition on which the brand, known by its winged hourglass trademark, has been built. The shape of the case - inspired by a model dating from 1945 - is a common theme throughout the collection. The sleek lines and the distinctive lugs provide these new models with a subtle balance between classical and contemporary design. The Longines Saint-Imier Collection includes watches that show the hours, minutes, seconds and date, and chronographs, plus a prestige model featuring four retrograde functions as well as a day/night display and phases of the moon. All the models in this collection are fitted with mechanical movements whose intricate workings can be admired through the transparent sapphire back cover.
The versions that show the hours, minutes and seconds with a date aperture at 3 o'clock are available in steel, in steel and rose gold or in rose gold. With a choice of four case sizes (26 mm, 30 mm, 38.50 mm and 41 mm), including some set with diamonds all our customers will find a version that fits snugly on their wrist. The choice of dials includes black, silvered or white mother-of-pearl with diamonds index and, thanks to the Super-LumiNova coating on the hands, reading the time is never a problem. The watches in this collection are fitted on a black or brown alligator strap, or a steel or steel and rose gold bracelet, with a folding safety clasp, to match the dial.

The chronographs are fitted with an L688.2 column-wheel movement specially developed and produced by ETA exclusively for Longines. The case is made of steel, steel and rose gold or, for certain models, rose gold alone, and is available in two diameter sizes: 39 mm and 41 mm. The silvered or black dial shows the hours and minutes and has a small seconds at 9 o'clock and a date aperture as well as the chronograph functions: a centre sweep seconds, a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock and a 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock. These chronographs are fitted on a black or brown alligator strap or on a steel or steel and rose gold bracelet, all having a folding safety clasp.
Finally, a prestige model embodies the quintessence of Longines' watchmaking know-how. This timepiece, with a diameter of 44 mm, houses calibre L707, specially developed and produced by ETA exclusively for Longines. There is a choice of a black or silvered dial featuring 12 Arabic numerals and showing four retrograde functions (day of the week at 12 o'clock, date on the right-hand side of the dial, second time-zone with a 24-hour scale on the left-hand side of the dial and a small seconds at 6 o'clock) as well as day/night and the phases of the moon. These exclusive models are mounted on a black or brown alligator strap, or a steel bracelet to match the rest of the design, all with a folding safety clasp.
