I bought this for my husband who wanted a watch that sat comfortably on his wrist without being too bulky and had a lot of great features. This watch seems to fit the bill perfectly. It is large but light and thin and the features are packed into the watch enough to impress my gadget-loving husband. The price is really reasonable compared to what you get from other companies for the same price, I think. It comes in an eco-friendly wooden box, if you care about that kind of thing

The Khaki Field watch, rugged in construction yet elegant in design, is associated with adventure and is direct descendants of its heroic forerunners that served the Forces in both world wars.

The Khaki Field Auto applies the proven codes of the Khaki Field series. Military-inspired colors and textures unite with innovation in the form of the exclusive H-10 movement. This caliber displays the hours, minutes and seconds through hands nickeled with white Superluminova® and has 80 hours of power reserve to meet the toughest performance expectations. In 2015, a rich palette of blues, from navy to petrol, adds its signature to the latest Hamilton ladies' watches. The color of elegance, sophistication and serenity makes b style statements in the name of the modern female. Harmoniously partnering materials such as mother of pearl and diamonds, or flirting with sunray patterns or teardrop indexes, blue steals the show.

We are introducing today the first watch: the RailRoad Lady Auto - 32 mm. Eleven diamonds, set in square chatons, and a precise automatic movement keep this refined ladies' timepiece on track for looks and performance. Fine blue markings towards the center of a mother of pearl dial form a perfect circle and match the flamed blue second hand.
A petrol blue leather strap intensifies the distinctive color code, or a classical metal bracelet presents a different look. The easy click fixture facilitates alternating between the two, to suit a change of mood or outfit. Femininity always has the final word via elongated indexes and slender nickeled hour and minute hands.

For pilotes, minutes are far more important than hours. To emphasize the importance of this time unit, the Chrono Worldtimer features an easy-to-read centered chrono counter spanning 12 minutes. It also has pilot-friendly, minute countdown intervals clearly marked on the bezel. Signalling the close collaboration between design and performance are the yellow markings of the first four minutes on the main time display. This pays tribute to the aerobatics inspiration, being the length of the freestyle program in competitions, with a penalty applying if it's exceeded.

Ease of operation is a high priority for aviation watches. The 10 o'clock pusher is the switch between chronograph functionality and the worldtimer facility. Once in worldtimer mode, easy bi-directional adjustment enables the smart complication to calculate the current time in the zone requested from a choice of 24 locations. Ensuring all globetrotters are always on the same page, particularly pilots commuting between many time zones, Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) is shown when the 10 o'clock pusher is briefly pressed.

Aviation influences every aspect of the watch's design, inside and out, right down to the yellow and black striped markings on the mode display. The movement is a new, specially developed Hamilton quartz chronograph, the H-41e, automatically adjusting for daylight saving time across the globe.

The Hamilton Chrono Worldtimer comes in a 45 mm stainless steel case and is available with a choice of three different straps.

Which brand sets appointments at an altitude of 2,610 metres? The one and only Hamilton, which in this case had flown into Zermatt for the launch of its new Khaki Takeoff, issued in a limited edition in conjunction with one of the world's most well-respected rescue teams. The famous company also serves as a learning centre for teams from dozens of different countries who come to the Valais mountains to gain unique experience of search-and-rescue missions in sometimes extreme Alpine conditions.

For Hamilton, this partnership is as much about heart-felt kinship as it is about prestige. Not only has Hamilton been historically committed to the field of aviation, but it has also proved a faithful ally, including by supporting one of the most brilliant aerobatics pilots, Nicolas Ivanoff, for the past ten years. It's also been five years since Air Zermatt and Hamilton first crossed (flight) paths…

Inspired by the glaciers of the Valais region
This high-flying encounter gave rise in 2010 to the first Khaki model adorned with the famous Air Zermatt insignia. The next and most recent one shown here will be joining the 2015 collections. "We move at our own pace", says Sylvain Dolla, CEO Hamilton. "We have no strict schedule; we carefully monitor the feedback from pilots who tell us what they would find really useful, and we do our best to deliver it the following year."

As one would expect, this model boasts a generous 46.3 mm diameter. It is equipped with a specifically developed ETA H-31 calibre ensuring a 60-hour power reserve. But the most distinctive feature of this timepiece is the way it can be parted from its strap and thus transformed into a traditional fully-functional detachable chronograph that naturally finds its place on the cockpit instrument panel of the eight Air Zermatt helicopters. This system is nothing new for Hamilton, which had already used it for its Khaki Navy Pioneer, a model mounted at the time on a gimbal suspension system.

Another detail that betrays Air Zermatt's vocation is the fact that this watch has a counter displaying the hours rather than the date and thus serving to measure the elapsed time in flights that last longer than one hour. The pushers of these chronographs are thus also placed at noon so as to be easily activated even when the watch is not on its strap. This 'bullhead' type of design is not the general rule at Hamilton, which finds it appreciable within this context of professional usage, but of no particular relevance to the public at large.

One model, three versions
The Khaki Takeoff is being introduced in two initial versions. The first is a 60-piece limited edition bearing the insignia of the mountain rescue service along with red markings. Why 60? Sylvain Dolla salutes the bright idea expressed by the pilots: "From the Matterhorn, you can see 60 mountains towering to 4,000 metres and above. The Takeoff will thus not be numbered, but instead each of the models will carry the name of one of these 60 peaks". Collectors take note: the most famous summits will thus be embodied in what are by nature one-of-a-kind creations. By order of engraving, the Mont Blanc will be the equivalent of watch number 1, the Matterhorn will be number 11, the Jungfrau number 36… and so on and so forth, each encapsulating a proud alpine and horological heritage.

Alongside this highly exclusive model, another one launched at the end of 2014 will be limited to 1,999 units and similar in all ways, apart from yellow tachometric markings. Finally, Hamilton has also announced the November 2015 launch of a three-hand plus date model with a more urban-style 42 mm case.

Aluminum is a material that propelled the aerospace sector to new heights with its use in planes, space shuttles and even rocket fuel. This versatile metal facilitates design that brings the magic of flight to the wearer's imagination and unrivalled comfort to their wrist. The range comprises four shades associated with outdoor action in the field, from a sultry sand color through to khaki green, and from bold black to the navy of pristine pilot uniforms. 
 

Hamilton gives an unmistakably contemporary touch to a new family of watches inspired by pieces it created for the British Royal Air Force in the 1970s. The case is asymmetrical and the crystal with its high-tech antireflective coating has shaping alluding to pioneering models from the brand's rich history. Performance is always on the itinerary for the Khaki Pilot Pioneer Aluminum and a turning flange with a countdown function is set in motion via a crown conveniently positioned at 2 o'clock. The Hamilton H-10 movement contains 80 hours of power reserve to accommodate high-flying lifestyles. A special metal treatment developed by Hamilton also ensures the cases' hardness and durability, as well as their capacity to take on intensive color shades. The light weight of the case, in combination with aluminum's ability to adapt very quickly to body temperature, means that wearers often forget it's on their wrist between time-checks. 
 

Easy to read digits and indexes with Super-LumiNova® stand to attention against the bold base colors of each of the members of the Khaki Pilot Pioneer Aluminum quartet. The impact is reminiscent of a glance into a dynamic aircraft cockpit. Pilot watch hands integrating polishing or a black lacquered finish extend the theme. All styling elements showcase the refined Hamilton expertise for using modern design and materials to salute the brand's enviable aviation heritage. Color-coordinated NATO straps enhanced with leather inserts and loops, plus an aluminum pin on the buckle, confirm Hamilton's love of exploring previously undiscovered territories in today's "material world". 

The shaping of the Hamilton Bagley gains its uniqueness through varying heights between the horizontal and vertical case edges and an intriguing combination of straight and curved lines. The sides of the case extend to become elegant lugs. A love of detail is evident in the watch's domed, multi-level dial with a stamped central panel in a quilted effect. This rises like a protective archway above the small, circular second counter at 6 o'clock. Sword-shaped pink gold plated hands and matching applied indexes visually seduce with their feminine appeal.

Accommodating every successful woman's desire to be different, the Hamilton Bagley comes in two sizes and with a choice of attachment variations. Adding a note of nobility is a genuine ostrich leather strap in beige with a pin buckle. Alternatively, a three-row stainless steel bracelet with an easy click fasten is confidently contemporary. The special fastening mechanism makes it simple to alternate between the two straps should the wearer wish to have both to meet the specific demands of all occasions and moods.

On June 24th, a date chosen to echo the famous 24 Hours at Le Mans race, 350 journalists, celebrities and a veritable who's who of les people assembled in Paris to fete the MONACO LS, the latest launch in TAG Heuer's 40th Anniversary Celebrations of the iconic MONACO line of racing-inspired sports watches and chronographs.

The exclusive party was held just off the Champs Elysees in the Michelin-starred Maison Blanche restaurant on the glamorous Avenue Montaigne. Among the revelers were 2008 Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton, French VIPs Alain Prost, Jacques Lafitte, Catalina Denis…, and TAG Heuer's victorious partners on the Le Mans Peugeot team, who placed one-two in this year's running of the world's most important endurance race.

Also present — in a special virtual incarnation ¬— was Steve McQueen, the screen legend who first brought the Monaco watch to international prominence in his cult classic 1970 race film Le Mans.
The MONACO partygoers in Paris were treated to the first full screening of Steve McQueen and Lewis Hamilton: The Duel, a virtual cinema showdown in which McQueen and fellow TAG Heuer Ambassador Hamilton battle it out on the treacherous turns of the fabled Le Mans circuit.
The Legend and the Virtuoso on the same track… 40 years apart!

In the effects-rich film, McQueen drives a Porsche Gulf 917, as he did in Le Mans, and wears the same Monaco, the blue-dialed, square-shaped icon that changed forever the face of Swiss watchmaking. Hamilton drives the single-seat McLaren in which he won the F1 World Drivers' Championship. On his wrist - the Monaco LS Chronograph Calibre 12, the Monaco's radically redesigned and seriously supercharged descendent. 

Many in attendance had seen a teaser version of the cinematic race in late March at BaselWorld 2009. At the Maison Blanche bash, however, they were finally given a chance to see Lewis Hamilton win the epic duel.
"Steve McQueen the Legend has passed the mantle to Lewis Hamilton the Virtuoso," said TAG Heuer President and CEO Jean-Christophe Babin. "And the original Monaco has morphed into the incredible Monaco LS, the new cult status symbol of the racing circuit. What a race, what a party, and what a watch!"

The other star of the night was the Monaco LS Chronograph Calibre 12. An audacious piece of cutting-edge architecture equipped with a powerful TAG Heuer Dubois Depraz 2008 movement, the Monaco LS has a sporty black dial and an imposing 40.5mm case in polished and fine-brushed steel. The current second is displayed in a linear second window at 3 o'clock, chronograph minutes at 9, chronograph hours at 6 and the date in an angled window with black disk at 12. The luminescent indexes are hand-applied and faceted, and the luminescent minute and hour hands are faceted, polished and fine-brushed. The rhodium second hand is adorned with a striking touch of red. Bracelet options are an elegant black alligator strap with folding buckle and safety pushbuttons or a steel bracelet with folding buckle and a unique new TAG Heuer-patented micro-adjustment cutting wheel. Water resistant to 100 metres, with anti-reflective double-sided treatment on the curved sapphire scratch-resistant crystal glass to ensure the best readability, this is a glamorous new addition to the prestigious Monaco fleet.
