Hublot Spirit of Big Bang King Gold Men's Watch

This Hublot Spirit of Big Bang watch is very nice in apperance! It has med/big face dial and numbers can easily seen. This watch has the expensive look without the expensive price tag. Bought as a gift and after seeing I had to buy one for myself.

Hublot is launching the new Big Bang Unico Italia Independent, designed in collaboration with the Italian brand, of whom Lapo Elkann is Chairman and Co-Founder. This collaboration has created a case featuring a brand new material, Texalium®, whose design is exclusive to the Swiss watchmaking brand.

By now accustomed to carbon fibre cases, Hublot wanted to go even further in its search for this material, to achieve even more colour variations. Texalium® is unique in that it is aluminium-coated carbon fibre; the great advantage of this is that it can be designed in different colours and has a remarkable brilliance, with all the lightness of carbon fibre.

This new Big Bang Unico Italia Independent is available in two colourways - grey or blue - and is guaranteed to electrify the wrist of anyone wearing it. A 500-piece limited edition of each of these two versions will be produced.

This Big Bang Unico Italia Independent watch also features Hublot's manufacture chronograph movement - the Unico. The engine has been entirely designed, developed, machined and assembled by micro-mechanics, engineers and watchmakers at Hublot. The movement is a flyback chronograph which can be reset at any time, and which is unique in the watchmaking industry, two push-buttons, with date indicator, and featuring a uniquely positioned mechanism with dual coupling and the famous "column wheel" visible on the dial side. Water resistant to 100 meters, the power reserve is approximately 72 hours.

The strap itself is made from denim fabric with grey or black studs, as typically seen on luxury shoes. The strap benefits from the interchangeable "One Click" system, which enables its wearers to choose from a wide range of straps as they like.

Each watch comes in a customised Italia Independent display case, complete with a pair of Italia Independent sunglasses as a bonus gift for Big Bang customers; as high-tech as the watch itself, the frame of these stylish sunglasses is also made from Texalium®.

The automobile and watchmaking alliance yields fruit of many sizes and varying degrees of intensity. One end of the spectrum features standard watches featuring a dial simply bearing a car manufacturer's logo; while the other involves partnerships so extensive that watch and car jointly reach unprecedented technical heights. Such is the case for Hublot and Ferrari. Hublot has indeed pulled out all the stops to salute the release of the LaFerrari model, probably the world's most impressive car. Its Masterpiece MP-05, duly nicknamed LaFerrari, is also a technical and design monster.
Upping the ante
On my right, a vehicle that supersedes the notion of a supercar. 1225 kg, a 6.3 litre V12 engine delivering 800 hp, coupled with a 163-hp electrical engine and featuring a HY-KERS (hybrid kinetic energy recovery system). Capable of reaching 300 kph in less than 15 seconds, it is issued in a limited edition of just 499. It outshines all its competitors and puts Ferrari firmly in pole position within the realm of sports cars. On my left… a model that naturally called for focusing on other kinds of assets, since the notion of power does not really exist in watchmaking. Electric energy has no place in a high-end (or indeed mid-range) watch movement, and a 499-piece limited edition is not at all exclusive for a superlative watch. So Hublot shifted the parameters by introducing its HUB9005.H1.6 calibre endowed with the world's highest autonomy for a wristwatch. Its 11 barrels keep it operating for a massive 50 days without being rewound. To ensure it runs as it should, this energy is regulated by a transverse tourbillon appearing on the front vertical face in accordance with a trademark Hublot construction style. Only 50 of these watches will be released.
Striking similarities
It is however on the design side that the likenesses are most apparent. While the two objects do not necessarily literally resemble each other, they are clearly governed by the same spirit. The LaFerrari is all about subtly sinuous curves designed to facilitate air intake. The black PVD-coated titanium case of the Hublot features a rare, eminently virile and complex shape dictated by the movement structure. And just as the LaFerrari displays its engine through the rear window, the Hublot watch also reveals its inner workings. In lieu of the car's cylinders, it proudly exhibits its 11 longitudinal barrels. Instead of a rev counter, it displays its power reserve, along with hours and minutes appearing on cylinders and taking up the little remaining space beneath the sapphire crystal. In both instances, data overrides other concerns and determines a raw expression of power and performance.

The championship match was organized by Hublot and it featured badminton superstars Li Yongbo, the head coach of China's National Badminton Team, and Fu Haifeng, Olympic champion. Guests were offered an once-in-a-lifetime chance to face-off against Fu Haifengin a battle royale that not only showcased the competitive spirit and passion of the Chinese badminton team, but also exemplified Hublot's "Art of Fusion" concept. A slick black badminton court was unveiled in front of the Hublot Dalian boutique, accentuated by a Hublot wall chronograph set up to record every game, match and point exchanged. The event reached a feverish high with the arrival of Li Yongbo, the head coach of China National Badminton Team, and Fu Haifeng, the National champion of Olympic on the court. This dynamic competition attracted an eclectic mix of VIP guests, media and badminton enthusiasts, ten of which who were handpicked by Hublot to compete head-to-head with National champ, Fu Haifeng. Live, courtside commentary provided by coach Li added a heightened competitive buzz.
