The Italian Formula 1TM Grand Prix has been on the world championship calendar since 1950. It has always been held at the Monza circuit. This legendary event is Ferrari's home race. Hublot has invited friends of the brand to experience a multi-faceted tour of the venue alongside this 55th edition.

Hublot is unveiling its latest campaign in Milan, the capital of fashion and design. Hublot and Ferrari are both pioneers in their fields. They share a respect for traditions and a belief that their futures are shaped by their ability to innovate. Julien Vallon has developed a new visual communications campaign to express the shared history of the two brands. Through balance and beauty, the campaign explores what makes a legend.

A shot taken on the roof of Ferrari's historic Maranello headquarters, home to both the sports car manufacturer and the racing team, depicts the legendary letters of the brand famed for its prancing horse. It shows Maurizio Arrivabene - Scuderia Ferrari's Team Principal, responsible for sporting management. Forward-looking, he wears on his wrist a 18-carat gold watch bearing the classic, distinctive hallmarks of Hublot's iconic Classic Fusion collection.

Classic Fusion Ultra Thin
Something completely new for the Hublot brand: an extra-thin watch, a Classic Fusion whose design has been refined, while retaining Hublot's dynamic and modern codes. With a 45 mm diameter, this watch is equipped with a movement just 2.90 mm thick, developed by Hublot.
The campaign is discreet and stylish, calling to mind beauty, technical expertise, legends and stylish living.

Supremacy and records
Formula 1TM dominates motor racing. Over the last seventy years, Scuderia Ferrari has consistently held the majority of Formula 1TM records. Hublot also belongs to this peerless league, and has collected its own list of records. The MP-05 LaFerrari All Black is one example. The LaFerrari watch was created in homage to the supercar. It was entirely designed, styled and developed by Hublot's engineers and watchmakers.

The 50-day power reserve is a record for a manually-wound tourbillon wristwatch. The watch is highly distinctive, its sapphire crystal styled to echo the lines of the car.
Eleven barrels are set in line to form the backbone of the watch, and the movement displays the time on cylinders. With 637 components, the movement contains more parts than the movement of any other Hublot watch.

The two brands share a vision to constantly improve performance, innovate and develop pioneering materials. True to this vision, in 2015, Hublot presented its exclusive composite, created by combining carbon and metal, two components incapable of forming an alloy. This original composite with its innovative style is employed as a signature on the bezel of the Big Bang Ferrari Carbon.

Big Bang Ferrari Carbon
With a dual-material carbon bezel encrusted with gold or titanium, the Big Bang Ferrari Carbon plays on contrast.
Six months of R&D were required to structure the layers of material for the bezel, so that the metal could be encrusted into the carbon evenly. The Big Bang Ferrari Carbon is fitted with Hublot's Unico movement, presented in an All Black version for the first time.

Celebrating the 10th anniversary of its Big Bang model, Hublot is revisiting a Grande Complication. Based on the manufacture Unico movement, the HUB 1270 calibre offers three major complications: the chronograph, the perpetual calendar and the moon phase.

The chronograph and calendar module has been completely redesigned and bears Hublot's hallmarks and finishes. Its skeleton movement is styled with the same look as the Aero, with an anthracite ruthenium coating, satin-finished steel elements and micro-blasted main plates and bridges. The mechanism is visible beneath its sapphire dial.

Measuring 45 mm in diameter, the Big Bang Chrono Perpetual Calendar is available in a King Gold version (an alloy of red gold and platinum exclusive to Hublot) (Ref. 406.OM.0180.RX) or in a titanium version (Ref. 406.NM.0170.RX).

The Big Bang Chrono Perpetual Calendar has two different types of hand: a white hand for the perpetual calendar and a red arrow-shaped hand for the chronograph. The perpetual calendar functions are shown by hands. The days are positioned at 6 o'clock, the months and leap years at 9 o'clock and the date at 12 o'clock.
The moon cycle is reproduced on a round window at 3 o'clock, so that two moons appear to alternate beneath the sapphire, part of which is in fume glass. On the mechanical chronograph, the seconds hand is in the centre, the hour counter is at 6 o'clock and the 30-minute counter is at 9 o'clock.

The piece is paired with a ribbed black rubber strap fitted with the "One click" attachment system.

As Official Timekeeper for Paris Saint-Germain - French Ligue 1 Champions - Hublot opted for a symbolic unveiling of the King Power Paris Saint-Germain at the Ooredoo training centre.

The event featured an exclusive appearance from players Edinson Cavani, Thiago Silva, Yohan Cabaye, Gregory Van Der Wiel and Salvatore Sirigu, who were invited to take part in a Hublot Watch Academy workshop, with assistance from a professional watchmaker. A Master Watchmaker even made the journey from Switzerland to answer the numerous questions prompted by the watch's unveiling.

Paying tribute to the famous club's iconic blue and red colours, Hublot has developed a King Power equipped with a chronograph movement featuring two chronograph hands positioned in the centre, in addition to the hour and minute hands. The wearer can keep track of both hands at a glance; the first indicates the seconds, and the other hand, specially developed for football, indicates the time elapsed out of the 45 mins in each half.

With a sapphire dial, the movement - here in an Aero Bang version - features new skeleton working to reveal the working parts of the watch and its fine mechanics. The topside retains only the material necessary for it to function. This is coated with black ruthenium for a beautiful overall effect of homogeneity, and clearer reading. A minute track, a time counter at 9 o'clock and a date window at 4 o'clock all feature on the predominantly blue piece, which is stamped with the famous Parisian emblem incorporating the Eiffel Tower.

The King Power 48 mm case is made of highly shock-resistant micro-blasted black ceramic. The moulded black rubber crown is flanked by two push-buttons in blue and white rubber. In a final reference to the club, and adding an attractive touch to the piece, the black rubber strap is decorated with a central blue line directly inspired by the Paris Saint-Germain graphic charter.

The chronograph is available in a limited edition of just 200 numbered pieces. Each watch comes with a certificate guaranteeing its authenticity and an official Paris Saint-Germain shirt signed by all the players.

Following the confirmation of the liquidation of BNB Concept on Monday, Hublot has announced its intent to hire 30 watchmakers, mechanics and technicians from the collapsed company, as well as to purchase its entire stock of machinery.
Hublot and BNB Concept had been linked since 2004, when the company specialising in making watch complications was founded. BNB Concept manufactured Tourbillons for Hublot, which was one of its biggest customers.
Hublot has been pursuing a policy of verticalisation for the past two years, adding the premises of its new manufacture at the beginning of 2009. The brand has become ever more independent since, through hiring watchmakers and acquiring new machinery for the manufacture of its chronograph movement UNICO.
Now the opportunity to hire watchmakers qualified in the "Haute Horlogerie" segment will help accelerate the process planned by Hublot as part of its "Manufacture" strategy.
The head of Hublot, Jean-Claude Biver, expressed his deep regret for the company, which was unfortunately unable to cope with the difficulties of its debtors in the current period of crisis.
Nonetheless, he emphasised his pleasure that Hublot, through its actions of purchasing and hiring, would not only take a big step towards its own autonomy, but would also enable people to get straight back into a job for which they are qualified.
