The Longines Heritage Military 1938 uses the simple, typical aesthetics based on the design of military watches produced by Longines in the 1930s. Easy reading and total reliability are essential for this type of watch, which was, at times, used under extreme conditions. The Longines Heritage Military 1938 is available in three versions, one with three hands, a 24-hour model and a chronograph. Reminiscent of the original model, the fluted, flat crown merges smoothly with the round steel case. The black synthetic strap is stitched in white, adding the final touch to this new model of contrasts.

Ref. L2.790.4.53.3 is the chronograph model of the Military 1938 fitted with an alligator strap; ref. L2.789.4.53.0 has a textile strap.

Very pleased with this Longines Military 1938 Chronograph Croc (L2.790.4.53.3) watch overall. The movement runs for a long time, and is accurate. It looks good and has a feel of quality about it. The clasp leather band functions well. The only negative is that the pins that attach the band to the case are weak, and twice the watch has popped off my wrist.

This Longines Heritage watch catches looks where ever I go. Has not lost anytime. It is amazing how inexpensive it is. It is very masculine, and kind of heavy. This is what I love. If you want a good watch, stop looking. This is the watch.
