This model has a stainless steel or rose gold case with a diameter of 39 cm which houses calibre L688.2 whose intricate workings can be admired through the transparent sapphire glass back cover. The rose dauphine hands indicate the time against a silvered or black dial featuring 8 rose hour symbols. The Longines Column-Wheel Chronograph also has a date, a small seconds at 9 o’clock, a dragging 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and a dragging 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock. Steel versions of this elegant model are also available with a 41 mm diameter case. This wrist chronograph with its high-tech movement is fitted on a brown or black alligator strap.

I bought this Longines Heritage watch for daily use and for workouts (swimming and running). It has functioned very nicely. I also used it in the ocean over a week and it has done just fine. It holds up to hot water in the shower after workouts as well.

I have had this Longines Column-Wheel Chronograph (L2.749.4.92.0) watch for years and just looked on the Internet to see if it was still available. I am not into expensive jewelry but this is the best watch I have ever had. My first, an anniversary present, was a Japanese watch - the gold plate wore off and it was not very comfortable. This watch is extremely comfortable.

Best deal for the money that I can think of. I constantly get asked if it is real. Its nice and heavy. has 21 jewel movement (which is excellent and wasn't even mentioned).The only negative is that the gold plating doesn't go all the way around the links, just 50%. Kind of cheap in that sense.
