For 2015, Ralph Lauren introduces the Ralph Lauren Automotive Chronograph. This watch is directly inspired by the instrument panel of Ralph Lauren's legendary 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic Coupe.
The timepiece's curved case horns and chronograph pushers echo the graceful yet powerful lines of th eautomobile's body, while the handmade wooden dial element—crafted from specially chosen loupe d'orme, or elm burl wood—reflects the interior trim of the Type 57 SC's cockpit. In order to give the dial the same visual detail and impact as the automobile's instrument panel, only veneers with the right concentration of knots and grains were chosen. Each veneer is selected individually for each watch, and as no two veneers are alike, each watch is a unique piece.

The movement that drives the Automotive Chronograph was made by Jaeger-LeCoultre Manufacture exclusively for Ralph Lauren. The self-winding caliber RL751A/1 runs in 39 jewels, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and offers a 65-hour power reserve. The Côtes de Geneve and perlage movement finishing is a special decoration exclusive to Ralph Lauren. The case, measuring 45 mm, is made of polished and brushed stainless steel. This timepiece is fitted with a black alligator leather strap.

True to its historic roots located in an exceptional place between lake and forests in the Vallee de Joux, Jaeger-LeCoultre remains particularly concerned by and involved in the integration of its Manufacture within its natural environment. Since July, observant visitors can spot ten hives newly installed in front of the entrance of the Grand Watchmaking House, or Grande Maison as it is known in French.
Jaeger-LeCoultre has decided to offer an authentic, original souvenir - a unique product from the Vallee de Joux - to each of its visitors. From now on, in addition to discovering the world of Swiss Fine Watchmaking, every visitor to the Manufacture will have the opportunity of tasting "Honey from the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre".

The Grande Maison has decided to start its own production. Concerned about producing the best quality honey possible and with respecting biodiversity, Jaeger-LeCoultre called upon Franck Crozet, a professional bee keeper in the region, to install and take care of the ten hives set up in front of the Manufacture.
The aim of this initiative is to make visitors from all over the world, as well as the 1,200 employees, aware of Jaeger-LeCoultre's commitment to preserving the environment. Bees play a key role in nature - by transporting pollen from flowers that they visit, they contribute to the reproduction of plant species. Today, they are a threatened species and this is a good opportunity for the Manufacture to give them a helping hand.

Making Time more Beautiful
For almost 180 years, the brand has watched over the environmental impact of its activities. Together with its employees and side by side with various personalities, it gets involved in many local and international activities. The Making Time more Beautiful project remains true to the moral heritage bequeathed by the founder of the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre, Antoine LeCoultre, conscious of the necessity for an adequate framework and infrastructures to ensure healthy growth for the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre.
In 2009, with the extension of the Manufacture, a new dimension was given to this project. Other basic initiatives were set up or improved, such as recycling and use of certified paper - as well as the creation of a bus transport system for employees, awarded the State of Vaud's Prix de la Mobilite (Mobility Prize) in 2008.
On the international front, Jaeger-LeCoultre is a UNESCO partner and, in collaboration with the World Heritage Centre, has created the "Tides of Time" programme, dedicated to the preservation of endangered marine sites.

Jaeger-LeCoultre was delighted to lend its boutique tonight for the first-ever exhibition of Ms. Astrid Munoz, friend of the brand and well-known fashion model and accomplished photographer. The exhibition featured photographs taken by Ms. Munoz in the "Gaucho" theme, which have been featured in Jaeger-LeCoultre latest publication Yearbook Five. The fifth edition of this gorgeous, large format publication pays tribute to Jaeger-LeCoultre's iconic swiveling watch, Reverso, which drew its inspiration from British Polo players in India in the early 1930s. The world of Reverso is thus intricately linked to the world of Polo and the 80th anniversary of the iconic watch was celebrated in Argentina.

There is probably no more fitting picture of Argentina than that of the Gauchos, the men of the Argentine heartland who work tirelessly to train some of the most amazing horses, many of which compete in the most spectacular polo matches around the world. Ms. Munoz's talented eye -- enriched by her travel and glamorous yet natural style as an international fashion model -- captures the ruggedness and very essence of the Argentine rural countryside. Her relationship with Jaeger-LeCoultre is both artistic and personal -- lending her vision of style to inspire the aesthetic expression of Jaeger-LeCoultre, and through her partner Eduardo Novillo Astrada who is an Ambassador of the Manufacture on the international polo scene.
