In 2005, Bell & Ross took the design principles from cockpit clocks and used them to create the BR01, a square watch that became a classic thanks to its avant-garde design. In 2015, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of this iconic watch, the brand has decided to pay a special tribute to women: Six new references enriched the BR S collection. Today, we are focusing on the Grey Camouflage models.

For the first time, these two new timepieces reinterpret this classic pattern and are adorned with a multitude of details that reflect the essence of femininity.
The delicate polished finish on the chamfered edges of the bezel subtly enhances the satin finish of the case, and the smooth crown adds a touch of softness to the wrist. The dial, fashioned entirely from mother of pearl with hints of grey that reflect the camouflage pattern, surprises in originality and delicacy. The sophisticated metal applique numerals and index, combined with streamlined hands, elegantly display the hours and minutes, with the date set in a perfectly balanced window.

The most precious version has an index combining numerals with 8 white diamonds, giving a total of 0.12 cts, and a bezel set with 66 white diamonds totalling 0.99 cts. The watch is mounted on a taupe grey satin strap, which completes the harmony of the colour palette.

Conceived in the purest tradition of Swiss watchmaking, the BR S Grey Camouflage is water-resistant to 100 metres and features the latest generation of Swiss quartz movements, a guarantee of precision and reliability.

For many years, Bell & Ross has also been working with the auto world for many years thanks to inventive sporting partnerships and the creation of exclusive dashboard clocks for concept cars.

An annual event for auto design professionals and fans, over the last 30 years the International Motor Show has become the event of the year for the biggest names in the auto and design world. From Chamonix to the Place Vendôme, from The Ritz to the Grand Palais, the International Motor Show has chosen sites promoting the values of luxury and prestige. In 2015, the event took place at the heart of the Hôtel National des Invalides - a jewel in French history.

To celebrate this 30th anniversary, Bell & Ross is launching an unique model of the BR 03. Employing the design principles of a dashboard clock, this watch-instrument immediately affirms its utilitarian vocation. Its PVD-coated steel case, the dial and rubber strap are jet black. For its part, the bright red second hand adds a subtle sporty touch.

At 6 o'clock, the dial of this 30th anniversary edition features the silhouette of a car - now the emblem of the International Motor Show. Available in a limited edition of only 30 pieces, the "30th anniversary" BR 03 was launched at the inauguration event held on the evening of 27th January 2015. It has been on sale throughout the event, during which Bell & Ross has also ben presenting its latest watch creations.

During the inauguration ceremony, a dozen grand prizes were awarded by a special jury. A member of the Jury, Carlos A. Rosillo, CEO of Bell & Ross, presented the prestigious Palme d'Or.

Both vintage and ultra-contemporary
Its round case, the soft lines of its strap fastenings and the curve of its glass instantly identify the the BR 126 Flyback as belonging to the Bell & Ross Vintage collection. However, its materials and its Flyback automatic chronograph movement incorporate the latest technological advances to offer ultra-modern functions promoting legibility and precision. The quality of the steel case (category 316 L, indicating a very high level of solidity and resistance to oxidation), its matte black PVD finish, its 43mm diameter, its sapphire crystal and its water-resistance to 100m make it a modern watch in step with its time.

Flyback : the chronograph function dedicated to aviation
The Flyback complication was developed for aircraft pilots before the Second World War. It allowed them to instantly stop and restart their chronograph on receipt of radio or visual signals indicating the moment to change course or release bombs. The Flyback system allows the stopwatch to be stopped and restarted in a single movement. This makes the Flyback complication the best instrument for calculating short time periods.

Prioritizing essential information
Since legibility of on-board instruments is vital in aeronautics, two colors are prevalent in cockpits: matte black for its anti-reflective properties and white for its extreme legibility. Orange -reserved for essential information- also has an important presence and, having always featured on the dials of the Bell & Ross Vintage collection, has become emblematic of the brand. In order to promote the most important information, a touch of orange makes all the indications linked to the chronograph function stand out in contrast against the matte black.

To further enhance the watch's legibility, the chronograph's central minute and second functions are displayed across the full width of the dial.

The Vintage BR 126 Flyback also provides an instant reading of the time being measured via the central display of the chronograph's minutes and seconds.

The year 2011 is a watershed year in the history of Bell & Ross. A master of military-inspired watchmaking, the Franco-Swiss brand is once again setting the pace by updating the 1920s timepieces that were first worn on the wrist to today's tastes. Bell & Ross is thus paying tribute to military timepiece history by introducing a pocket watch transformed into a wristwatch - the Vintage WW1.
THE TIME MACHINE
In 2011, similar to a movie fl ashback, Bell & Ross is boarding a time machine and offering a nostalgic, yet modern pocket watch transformed into a wristwatch - the Vintage WW1. This is a unique way of reinterpreting the history of the military watch an approach that has always guided the brand's designs.
"We are delving into the past even more in order to round out our collection", explains Bell & Ross designer, Bruno Belamich. "The military watch has been our passion since our early days and we are looking to reinvent the fi rst models of these wristwatches which appeared on pilots' wrists in the 1920s. "The challenge? Remain loyal to the watchmaking canons of the day while adapting them to the Bell & Ross design principles.

FROM POCKET WATCH TO WRISTWATCH
The reimagining of those bygone days is a two-phase process: the design of a fob watch of rare sobriety, the PW1 standing for Pocket Watch 1 and the introduction of a wristwatch christened the WW1 for Wrist Watch 1. First worn by French soldiers during the Great War, these wristwatches were then tested experimentally by pilots in the 1920s before being declared technically reliable in the 1930s. The Vintage WW1 pays tribute to this era and takes its inspiration from the stylistic designs of the "Roaring Twenties", yet does so without appearing dated. A true missing "time" link between the pocket watch and the wristwatch of the 1940s, the shapes and functions of the Vintage WW1 reflect all of Bell & Ross' genetic codes.

In 2005, Bell & Ross metamorphosed aeronautical cockpit displays into an inimitable square watch - the BR01. In 2011, the brand is once again living up to its reputation by transforming a pocket watch into a wristwatch. Inspired by cockpits of yesteryear
The anti-reflective matte black ceramic case is inspired by the color of the instrument panel, which was designed to both remove reflections and contrast with the panel's dials for easy reading. Its aged, sand-colored hands, numerals and indices and its natural leather strap give it the appeal and appearance of military watches of days gone by. The most prestigious car designers and constructors exhibited about twenty concept cars. Very important personalities from the world of automobiles, the arts and the media were present. 15 prizes were awarded by a jury whose President of Honor was no other than Alain Prost.

Lewis Hamilton, the 2008 Formula 1 Worldchampion, and Ron Dennis, the President of McLaren who were the events guests of honor were awarded the Palme D'or.
Carlos A.Rosillo, CEO of Bell & Ross awarded the special Festival prize to the VENTURY brand for its VOLAGE concept car. The brand was represented by Mr Gildo Pallanca-Pastor, General Manager and the designer Sacha Lakic.
