I bought this for my husband for Christmas. It seems rugged. It has tons of of features. It is solar charged, so hopefully it will work for a long time. His old Seiko Seiko 5 watch he had to replace the battery all the time. He seems to really like it and he can wear it for sports, dress or work.

The government of Japan has just announced that Yoshifusa Nakazawa has been awarded the "Medal with Yellow Ribbon" in recognition of his distinguished services to watchmaking. The award is given to individuals who, through their diligence and perseverance in their professional activities, become public role models.

Since joining Seiko Epson Corporation in 1978, Mr. Nakazawa has won several watchmaking competitions, including the 26th WorldSkills International Competition in 1981. Today he belongs to Micro Artist Studio and engages in assembling and adjusting of Credor Spring Drive Sonnerie and Eichi II.

Yoshifusa Nakazawa is the sixth Seiko craftsman to receive the "Medal with Yellow Ribbon". He joins an exclusive group along with Mamoru Sakurada (2005), Kenji Shiohara (2005), Kiyoshi Terui (2007), Kazuo Takeoka (2010), and Kazushi Kannondo (2012).
