Played for the James Wentworth-Stanley Memorial Cup, inaugurated in 2007 at Cowdray Park Polo Club, the 22 Goal Tournament was created in memory of James Wentworth-Stanley, the polo-playing son of the Marchioness of Milford Haven. James died in December 2006, aged 21. The Milford Havens donated the cup as a warm-up tournament for Cowdray based High Goal teams playing in the Queens Cup and Gold Cup. The final is always played on the Number One ground at the Milford Haven home, Great Trippetts Farm.

This year the tournament saw Eduardo Carmignac's Talandracas team win 8-6 against Inigo Zobels, Ayala team.

James Wentworth-Stanley Memorial Fund

The James Wentworth-Stanley Memorial Fund has been set up by James's parents to help raise awareness of anxiety, depression and suicide amongst young people and to tackle the shocking statistic that suicide is the largest cause of death of young men in the UK. The Fund is involved in suicide prevention through research, training, increasing available help and support for bereaved families.

St. Regis International Cup, Cowdray Park Polo Club

For the first time on British soil, in 15 years , Luke Tomlinson lead the British team to an 11 goal victory against the USA at Cowdray Park Polo Club for the first in the series of International matches in the UK.

England Fielded a 24 goal side with Ollie Cudmore (4 goal) Malcolm Borwick (6 goal) James Beim (7 goals) and Jaeger-LeCoultre ambassador and England Captain Luke Tomlinson (7 goals). It was a very close and well matched competition for the UK, which in the last remaining minuets saw Borwick snatch the ball from the opposition and find Tomlinson near the goal mouth- Captain luckily didn't miss and took England ahead to win the match by only half a goal.
England were presented by Her Majesty the Queen's Silver Jubilee Cup by Lord Cowdray.

Luke spent the 2007 to 2009 seasons playing for Sir Charles Williams' Apes Hill Club Barbados team the pinnacle winning the 2009 Queens Cup against Sumaya at Guards Polo Club. This season Luke lines up for his second season with Nick Clarke's Salkeld team which last year reached the semi-finals of the Gold Cup.
