Breguet - Three Rewards at the "Watch of the Year"
On Friday, October 26, 2012, in Geneva, the Swiss magazine Montres Passion awarded 3 prestigious prizes to Breguet, among a total of 6 awards, at the occasion of the 19th edition of its competition « Watch of the Year ».
More than 600 personalities from the watchmaking world attended this annual event, which intends to recognise the best watch creations of the year in technical and aesthetic terms. Since the creation of this competition in 1994, it is the first time ever that a brand wins so many prizes at once.
The watches Heritage phases de lune retrograde (ref. 8860) and Tradition GMT (ref. 7067), unveiled at the 2012 Basel Watch Show, were both acclaimed, either by the independent, professional jury, or by the public.
The Heritage phases de lune retrograde was notably praised by the jury for its audacious aesthetic. It was selected Watch of the Year 2012, and received the 2012 Ladies' Watch Prize as well.
As for the Tradition GMT, it emerged as the clear winner of the Public's Prize among the shortlist of around 40 watches preselected by the jury and presented to the public for its consideration in an online competition held on a special website and at a private event.
