i ordered this for my best friend for christmas. she loves this A. Lange and Sohne Grand Lange 1 Black Dial 18kt White Gold Men's 117.028 watch. i thought the watch was perfect!! very detailed she was equally happy with it. very well made just the right size for any wrist. the face is not too big or too small. LOVE IT!

I loved this A. Lange and Sohne Saxonia Automatic Mother of Pearl Dial Diamond Ladies 840.029 from the moment I saw it on the website, it looks elegant and expensive, I wear it often and it has held up quite well which I have been very pleased about. It does come with a great strap attached, but I like it, it holds the watch in place much better so it's not constantly sliding up and down your wrist. I would definately recommend it to others.

The Saxonia Thin enriches A. Lange & Söhne's redesigned Saxonia family with an exceptionally slender model whose lucid styling and classically elegant poise are a perfect match for the tradition of this line of watches.

The case of the new Saxonia model has a diameter of 40 millimetres and a height of just 5.9 millimetres. It is the flattest timepiece crafted so far by the venerable Saxon manufactory. Its true grandeur lies in its focus on the essence: It displays the time in hours and minutes, nothing more. From the aesthetic perspective, the Saxonia Thin celebrates the fundamental values of A. Lange & Söhne with the hallmarks that characterise the Saxonia collection, including a slender and decidedly elegant case as well as a puristic solid-silver argente dial. The balanced configuration of the few key style elements - a succinct minute scale, svelte baton hour markers, and lancet hands - emphasise the overall harmony of the watch face. It is the epitome of distinguished elegance paired with contemporary stateliness.
To fit the thin case, A. Lange & Söhne developed an equally slim manually wound movement that can be admired through the sapphire-crystal caseback. The new calibre L093.1 has a diameter of 28 millimetres and is a scant 2.9 millimetres high. It adds to the impressive portfolio of manufacture movements created by the Saxon watchmakers a further oeuvre that unites the full spectrum of craftsmanship, innovative energy, and passion for which the eminent brand has always been respected. The thickness of every single movement part was reduced to the absolutely necessary minimum without compromising the functional reliability in any way. As is always customary at Lange when a new watch is developed, the movement of the Saxonia Thin was subject to the entire gamut of endurance tests devised by the manufactory's test laboratories - and of course passed them. Measuring a mere 2.9 millimetres from top to bottom, it is not only the flattest Lange calibre of all time but with respect to precision and dependability also easily lives up to the standards that apply to all models of the manufactory.
A. Lange & Söhne is famous for the lavish finissage of its movements, so it is self-evident that the new ultra-thin calibre is also endowed with all brand-specific refinements. Examples include the German-silver three-quarter plate with Glashutte ribbing as well as chamfered and polished edges, the gold chatons secured with thermally blued screws, and the sunray finish applied to the wheels that are visibly integrated in the plate. The movement features an indexless oscillation system that beats with a frequency of 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour and can rely on an ample power reserve of 72 hours. The escapement bears the typical A. Lange & Söhne signature: the free-hand engraving on the balance cock.
With the Saxonia Thin, A. Lange & Söhne has not only defined a new benchmark in the category of ultra-thin watches but has also created a modern classic.
