Longines La Grande Classique Watch L47094712

Like watches. This one has style and is practical with the stop watch feature which I use almost daily. I've gotten more complements on this Longines watch than most I've owned. Had for about 4 months, so can't attest to durability or battery life. Band fits my (smaller) wrist just fine.

On Wednesday 23 July 2014, Longines Ambassador of Elegance Aishwarya Rai attended, together with Mr. Walter von Känel, President of Longines, the opening ceremony of Glasgow 2014, the XXe Commonwealth Games.

Longines is the Official Timekeeper and Watch of the Games, that are held in Glasgow from 23 July to 3 August 2014. In addition, the Swiss watch brand is the Presenting Partner of the Gymnastics competitions.

The Official Watch of Glasgow 2014 is a chronograph in steel from the Conquest Classic collection, housing an exclusive mechanical column-wheel calibre. With a diameter of 41 mm, its black dial is set with one arabic numeral and 11 applied indices with Super-LumiNova®. It displays the hours and the minutes, a small second at 9, a 30-minute counter at 3, a 12-hour counter at 6 as well as the date at 4:30. Just as the entire Conquest Classic collection, this timepiece is water-resistant to 5 bar and its screw-down case back is fitted with a sapphire glass.
