Piaget - Support of Film Independent Spirit Award
For the fourth consecutive year, Piaget is proud to be a principal supporter of the Film Independent Spirit Awards. At today's Nominee Announcements held at the London Hotel in West Hollywood, Joe McHale, the host of the upcoming 2011 Awards, showed his support for Piaget by wearing the Emperador Coussin Moon Phase watch in white gold with an anthracite dial. Also in Piaget was Dawn Hudson, President of Film Independent. Ms. Hudson wore a Piaget Limelight three-drop diamond and white gold pendant with matching earrings.
The nominees for the upcoming 26th annual Spirit Awards were presented by Eva Mendes and Oscar Nominee and two-time Spirit Award nominee, Jeremy Renner, who was also one of Piaget's "Men To Watch" in 2009. Renner, who owns a Piaget Polo FortyFive Chronograph, also wore Piaget's new Altiplano 43mm Limited Edition timepiece to the 2010 Academy Awards.
Leading the pack for nominations were "127 Hours," " Black Swan," "Rabbit Hole," "Winter Bone," and "The Kids Are Alright." Aaron Eckhart, who is nominated for Best Male Lead in Rabbit Hole, is a long-time fan of Piaget and also owns a Piaget Polo FortyFive. For his role in the film, Mr. Eckhart wore a Piaget Altiplano in white gold. Nominees for the Piaget Producers Award include: In-Ah Lee for "Au Revoir Tapei," Adele Romanski for "The Myth of the American Sleepover" and Anish Savjani for "Meek's Cutoff."
The Film Independent Spirit Awards will return to the beach in Santa Monica, CA and will be held on February 26, 2011. Piaget will once again host its exclusive VIP lounge where attendees will be get a sneak preview of the company's newest jewelry and watch collections.
