I am a collector of heidi pieces and felt that this watch is not as well made as some of her other watches However it is unique and a Heidi watch which means it is better than any other brand so I'll keep it !

Effective one week ago as reported by the website Businessmontres, Michel Nieto has assumed the post as director of operations at the Bulgari manufactory in Le Sentier (Vallee de Joux). He thus replaces Jean-Louis Sapin as the head of the haute horlogerie workshop production for the Bulgari group.
Nieto resigned as CEO of Baume & Mercier to the Richemont group in September after a strategic disagreement. This occurred just days apart from Fabian Krone's resignation as head of Richemont-owned A. Lange & Söhne.
The Le Sentier-based manufactory completes the manufacture of the timepieces signed by the Daniel Roth and Gerald Genta brands. These brands were sold to the Bulgari group in 2000 by Singapore's Hour Glass, who had bought them individually in 1999. The workshops also complete the movements and modules for Bulgari's complicated timepieces.

As Bulgari continues the worldwide celebrations of its 125th year, the jeweller launched a special photography installation in Beijing's Today Art Museum. Attended by over 400 local and international VIPs, the event supports Bulgari's Save the Children "Rewrite the Future" campaign, the largest independent international organisation for children's rights.
To mark the occasion, Bulgari presented an extraordinary limited edition collection, composed of 11 couture jewels and seven luxury watches, which will be auctioned off in New York on December 8. The collection will be exhibited in China as part of its worldwide tour. The total estimated value of the collections about €3 million, and the entire proceeds will be donated to Save the Children.
The event, held on July 10, was attended by Francesco Trapani, CEO of the Bulgari Group, along with Zhao Zhonghua, head of the Save the Children China program. They were joined by an illustrious guest list from celebrities and business figures to Olympians to renowned musicians. Renowned Italian photographer Fabrizio Ferri was also at the event. Ferri donated his talent to the cause by photographing international celebrities like Isabella Rosselini and Ben Stiller who support the campaign.
"For Bulgari, 2009 being part of history and at the same time being able to help change it by giving less fortunate people the possibility of a new future is the best possible way of celebrating its 125 years," says Trapani. "China is of great strategic significance for Bulgari, I am really delighted to be here tonight to witness the excitement with Chinese friends to promote Bulgari's commitment aiding youth education throughout the world. I am also convinced that, thanks to the help of our customers and Save the Children supporters, we will succeed in achieving - and hopefully in exceeding - the ambitious target we have set ourselves."
That evening, the specially created Bulgari STC silver jewels were also highlighted. The Save the Children logo is engraved inside the silver ring which is a tribute to the silversmith origins of Sotirio Bulgari, the company's founder. The silver jewels are on sale from February to December 31 in all Bulgari stores throughout the world, in some selected department stores, and on Bulgari's e-commerce website, active in the USA, at the price of RMB 2,700, of which 20% will be donated to the campaign.
About the campaign
Save the Children's "Rewrite the Future" campaign was created to provide quality education to 8 million children living in war-torn countries. Bulgari has pledged to support this campaign throughout this year as the most significant initiative to celebrate its 125th anniversary of its foundation. The objective is to raise €10 million by the end of 2009, among which €1 million has already been donated by Bulgari to the organisation in advance and the remaining amount will be raised within this year.
