Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Diver Black Dial Men's Watch 263-33-3C-82

My wife got me this Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine watch for Father's Day and it is exceptional. Its a heavier watch, but if you truly like automatics, you'll appreciate both the weight and the active internal feel. The movement is also rather heavy and definitely louder than expected ... again though, its something that I actually appreciate very much about the watch.

The Christophe Claret brand bears the name of its founder, who was born in Lyon in 1962. At the age of 14, after a chance visit to a watch repairer, Christophe Claret became fascinated with the mechanics of timekeeping. By the age of 20 he had graduated from the Ecole d'Horlogerie in Geneva, and went on to complete his training with independent watchmaker Roger Dubuis.
Back in Lyon, he opened his own watch repair workshop, and began discreetly to dabble in watch design. In 1987 Christophe Claret was spotted by Rolf Schnyder, the new owner of Ulysse Nardin, who commissioned him to make 20 jacquemart minute repeaters. The Claret manufacture, which was set up in Switzerland two years later, would become a reference for complicated movements.
Christophe Claret produces complications for a number of prestigious brands, while at the same time creating often one-of-a-kind pieces commissioned by collectors, under his own name.
The Christophe Claret brand, which really began to take off in 2009, succeeds in marrying tradition with innovation, and always in a spectacular manner.
