Ulysse Nardin - Exclusive Flagship in Moscow
A white carriage, drawn by white horses and preceded by a uniformed marching band disgorged a well-kept secret. In the company of Rolf Schnyder, CEO of Ulysse Nardin, the gorgeous Anna Chapman alighted.
The opening ceremony was similar to a scene out of a fairy tale. Nikolskaya Street was closed to all traffic while a renowned full uniformed band marched down the street to famous Russian military tunes stopping in front of the Boutique. A white covered carriage pulled by 2 white horses followed with Mr. Rolf Schnyder accompanied by the gorgeous and notorious Anna Chapman. Local, national and international press and television were waiting in front of the boutique to capture the important ribbon cutting ceremony which was held at preciously 11:11 am (the number "1" is lucky in Russian culture - thus the opening was carefully orchestrated at 11:11 on 11/11). It was clearly an emotional moment for Mr. Schnyder as it capped a dream come true.
Ulysse Nardin and Anna Chapman joined hands to support charities focused on "children in need" in Russia. To commemorate this important "opening": - Mr. Schnyder and Ms. Chapman handed over a cheque of rubles 1,111,111.00 to "Life Line" - a charity foundation for children suffering from heart disease. This donation will provide heart surgeries and save 8 children in Russia in addition to another 12 that Ulysse Nardin has been sponsoring.
Quoting Mr. Schnyder at the ceremony "I have been blessed with good luck and enjoyed a wonderful life, but I also believe that one has to share the fruit of success with the less fortunate ones. Children represent the future and Ulysse Nardin is very happy to support children charities where money can make a difference. This is not only good corporate governance but makes me happy."
