TAG Heuer - Partners with Motor Sport Hall of Fame
The award ceremony celebrates the careers of some of the greatest names in motor racing and also pays tribute to past heroes that made Formula One the global phenomenon it is today.
In recognition of their achievements in the sport Sir Jack Brabham, Sir Frank Williams, Jody Scheckter and Dario Franchitti were the 2011 inductees. Presenting to the third inductee, 1979 Ferrari F1 World Champion Jody Scheckter, the honour was bestowed on the South African racer by the CEO of TAG Heuer, Jean-Christophe Babin and five-time Grand Prix winner John Watson.
Hosted by F1 BBC presenter Jake Humphrey the event was a fantastic success, firmly placing it at the start of the F1 calendar. The great and good of Formula One gathered for this event, with personalities including Sir Frank Williams, Sir Stirling Moss, Jody Scheckter, Dario Franchitti, John Watson, Murray Walker, Tony Brooks, Eddie Jordan, Nick Mason, Chris Rea, James Martin, Karun Chandhok, Anthony Hamilton and Lord March in attendance on the night.
In 2010, Mario Andretti, Tony Brooks, Jackie Ickx and Ron Dennis were inducted at the inaugural Hall of Fame event, along with founding members Enzo Ferrari, Tazio Nuvolari, Juan Manuel Fangio, Jim Clark, Sir Jackie Stewart, Sir Stirling Moss, Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher.
