The Longines watch is smaller than it appears in photos, the band is less than 1/2 inch wide. It is nice for surfing since it is so small and light...but the band sometimes comes open but hasnt fallen off all the way yet. You can slide the safety loop up to the clasp, but overall it looks like it will come off in powerful waves.

This Longines Les Grandes Classiqueswatch looks great, however the clasp does not stay shut, and the watch will pop open every so often. Other than that, it is a good watch.
