On March 18th, auction.jaeger-lecoultre.com started an online auction that ended today, on April 21. The winning bid was £16,208, and this collector will now have the pleasure of being the proud owner of a contemporary re-edition in tribute to the legendary diver's watch, the timepiece that represented an essential landmark in watchmaking history.
100% of the proceeds from the online Auction will be donated to the Colombia's Malpelo Fauna and Flora Sanctuary which has been on the Unesco World Heritage List since 2006 and is considered to be one of the world's most extraordinary diving spots.
For the third consecutive year Jaeger-LeCoultre put up an exclusive timepiece for the online Auction to raise funds for an endangered UNESCO World Heritage site.
