The 2016-version of the Laureato was intreoduced in celebration of Girard-Perregaux's 225th anniversary. Its design is a throwback to the original 1975 Laureato model. While this first version was powered by a quartz movement, the current iteration features GP's automatic 3300-0030 movement. It is a limited edition of 225 pieces.

The watch face was a little larger than I expected, but no problem! - it makes it easier to read the time quickly while driving or whatever. This Girard-Perregaux Laureato 2016 Blue (81000-11-431-11A) watch is stylish, but still rugged and perfectly filled the need I had: a good-looking, quality timepiece that I can wear with jeans or to work.

I returned this Girard-Perregaux watch due to it being more over the top than I wanted. For a smaller wrist this may be too large. If you want a lot of glitz this is the right bracelet watch for that reason.

I bought this Girard-Perregaux Laureato watch as a gift, it went over well. My only comment is that it did seem a little larger then pictured so it would look oversized or silly on a man with small or slender hands, luckily that was not the case but if it had been I would have exchanged it for something less oversized.
