Bulgari - Save the Children
Recognizing the power of education to transform lives and futures, Bulgari has partnered with leading nonprofit organization Save the Children since 2009 to provide the world's most vulnerable children with better access to education. The partnership's far-reaching activities are funded by a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the iconic custom-designed silver and ceramic ring and pendant inspired by Bulgari's B.zero 1 collection. Both the Bulgari Save the Children ring and pendant are on sale worldwide at a cost of CHF 520.-, of which CHF 90.- are donated to Save the Children, largely to provide quality education programs. The donation provides very tangible benefits, such as tables and benches for six children to attend their classes on the Ivory Coast.
In addition to the financial commitment, the long-term partnership of Bulgari and Save the Children is distinguished by its global reach in terms of fundraising, the number of nations involved, and most importantly, by the number of children in need who benefit. To date, the partnership has raised over $35 million (an unprecedented standard with Cause Related Marketing) and its support of education and emergency response has improved the lives of more than 700,000 of the world's most disadvantaged children living in 23 countries across five continents.
The partnership between Bulgari and Save the Children is supported by many well-known celebrities from the worlds of film, sport, art and entertainment who generously lent their time and image to be photographed for the STOP.THINK.GIVE. campaign. More than 250 distinguished celebrities have been attracted to the project and accepted to be photographed by acclaimed photographer Fabrizio Ferri. All of these portraits are included in a beautiful book.
