Corum - Private dinner in Singapore
Alongside with its prestigious partner, Sincere Fine Watches, Corum welcomed today leading watch collectors for a private dinner party to celebrate the new era of the legendary Golden Bridge. The venue was hosted at the Marina Bay Sands, Guy Savoy restaurant.
One year after the 30th anniversary of its Golden Bridge model, Corum opens a new era with the presentation of an automatic version of the legendary baguette movement with linear wining. Time to celebrate the introduction of the Golden Bridge Automatic in Singapore.
Antonio Calce, CEO of Corum, who attended the event, said: "It is always a great pleasure for me to go back to Singapore to spend time and share a passion with connoisseurs of the swisswatchmaking industry. I enjoy discussing about products and exceptional complications with collectors who have taste for beautiful timepieces and especially who care about the high-end content of the products. The Golden Bridge Automatic was at the heart of our event. This model is exceptional, it redefines the art of horology and its automatic movement with linear winding is both revolutionary and ingenious. Its development was definitely a challenge, but we have certainly achieved a rewarding result!"
Corum is constantly pushing the boundaries of technical innovations, and challenging the norms. The concern for the Golden Bridge Automatic involved keeping the linear essence and the pure design of the baguette movement while adding on a self-winding mechanism. The engineers faced several issues and the movement called for four years of research and development verifying the materials, the frictional forces and the physics of the winding mechanism. Today it remains unique on the market.
