Blancpain - Valentino Rossi in Germany
After helping kick off the championship in Monza, Valentino Rossi is back at the wheel for the last race of the season, which will take place in Germany. The nine-time motorcycling champion nicknamed "il Dottore" will once again team up for the PROAM competition with Blancpain's President & CEO Marc A. Hayek, also a motorcycling champion in his youth, in what looks set to be an exciting reunion.
This coming weekend, after the summer break, the "Blancpain Endurance Series" hits the Nurburgring track, where around fifty GT3 cars are expected for the season's penultimate event. The strength of the field is as remarkable as ever for a GT race and underscores the huge popularity of the Blancpain Endurance Series among the various teams and drivers.
Three hours of driving call for the watches and the competing cars to demonstrate reliability, precision and sturdiness - three values deeply cherished by the Manufacture in Le Brassus. The Blancpain Reinter Engineering team, composed of Marc A. Hayek and Peter Kox of The Netherlands, will be driving the black-clad Lamborghini LP600+ carrying start number 24 and a Blancpain watch appearing on the hood.
Valentino Rossi, will share the same Ferrari 458 Italia as he did in Monza with his Italian teammates Alessio Salucci and Andrea Ceccato from Kessel Racing team. The car bearing the livery of the legendary "Monster VR46" will be easily recognisable.
So make it a date for the weekend of September 22nd and 23rd 2012, and be sure to follow the race as driven by car numbers 24 and 46.
