The tourbillon is powered by an automatic caliber - in itself a rarity for this major complication - that in addition beats at a high frequency of 4 Hz as compared with 3 Hz for most classic tourbillons, an equally rare occurrence in the domain of Fine Watchmaking. 

This oscillation speed of 28,800 vibrations per hour ensures exceptional precision, further reinforced by the automatic winding system ensuring a constant level of energy. Fitted in its a 14.08 mm carriage, the tourbillon performs one full turn every 60 seconds. The tourbillon is fixed to a micrometrical triple screw which ensures finer adjustment and more constant precision. The performances of this complex orchestration are backed by remarkable resistance, reinforced by a lever escapement featuring Gluycdur pallets.

Traditional architecture and finishing
The Admiral's Cup Seafender 47 Tourbillon Chronograph is fitted with the CO 398 caliber. Its entirely integrated chronograph is controlled by a column-wheel governing its functions. Far more complex than modern cam-type mechanisms, this noble architecture is in keeping with the grand horological tradition and ensures a particularly gentle mode of activation. 

Every components of the CO 398 caliber is hand-polished and chamfered. It may be admired through the sapphire caseback in all its finely hand-decorated splendor, featuring delicate straight graining, as well as circular graining on the mainplate, bridges and wheels. This patented ecological method makes the watchcase truly exclusive and features a number of advantages. The ceramization technique gives aluminum a ten-times longer lifespan by making it harder than steel. It is also anti-abrasive and protects against corrosion, while lending an extremely beautiful aesthetic touch and an extremely pleasant feel.

The Admiral's Cup Seafender 47 Tourbillon Chronograph comes with two straps: the first in black crocodile leather, and the second in a rubber-look leather. It is water-resistant to 50 meters.
