Baume & Mercier was inspired by a 1950s model in the museum collection to create the Clifton watch. Understated and discerning to every last detail, this timeless design was originally crafted for men yet its smaller version is equally elegant on a woman's wrist.

The rather smart lines of this Clifton watch are reminiscent of the Golden Fifties, the creative heyday of watchmaking in Europe. In this release, Baume & Mercier plays with shades of black on the dials to create three new timepieces of flawless elegance: two for men and one for women.

The crowning jewel of this collection is the Clifton Complete Calendar (10213). This highly classical watch features a world-class automatic Swiss movement (Dubois Depraz 9000) and displays the hours, minutes and seconds as well as the date on a fourth center hand, the moon phase (nestled in a counter at 6 o'clock) and the day and month (in two apertures at 12 o'clock). With a generous size of 43 mm, the steel case features a stylish effect of polished/satin finishes and is perfectly accented with a brown alligator strap. The delicately sun satin-finished slate-colored dial combined with gilded Arabic numerals adds a modern-vintage flair enhanced by the domed sapphire crystal case back.

The second creation for men: the Clifton automatic two-tone watch (10210). At 41 mm in diameter, its steel case is capped with an elegant 18K red gold bezel.
